Happy May! We made it to another month thank God, Source, Universe, etc. Ivy Spirit wants you to channel the power within you to create and destroy; to recognize that you can do both, and often we engage these powers without even knowing it. Both the power to create and destroy are needed to live a full life experience.
We often focus on our innate power to create — to create experiences, to create businesses and opportunities, to create families and relationships…but we rarely discuss our power to destroy. We see destruction outside of ourselves, during times of war or violence, but destruction is not all about chaos and rage. Think of natural forest fires. Many of us only see the chaos and darkness that these fires cause, but what about the aftermath? Did you know that pine cones open up and flourish during these fires? This causes them to spread their seeds to create new trees; rebirth is possible after death. Sometimes we need to destroy in order to rebuild.
Look at how Coronavirus has destroyed so many things, yes for better and worse, but think of how many global changes occurred as a result. We have taken a hard look at areas where we can improve as a race, within government systems, within religion, within the realm of social justice, and the list goes on. We went from being inactive bystanders to active players. You might even consider change in general to be “destructive” because sometimes the old and outdated has to be torn down in order to build something stronger, and better, in its place. How can you apply this message in your own world?
If you haven’t yet taken a deep look into your inner world and how it is reflected in your outer world, then please do yourself a favor and get to it asap! This is one of the most important lessons this shift in paradigm has taught us. The inner work is the most important. Ivy Spirit wants you to access both the power to create and destroy, so you can become more aware of what is needed in your life and what needs to be let go of.
Yes sometimes bridges need to be burned, especially if boundaries are not working. This could apply to your personal relationships; who in your life takes and takes, but rarely gives? Or are you the one who doesn’t give as much as you receive? There are forces in your life right now that are draining your energy; this could also apply to jobs, businesses, or any circumstances that take and take. Your cup needs to be refilled. As well, don’t be afraid to say goodbye to stories and lies you’ve been holding on to. Maybe you feel that you’ve lost in some way, but can you see this void as an opportunity to now allow something new to replace it? Don’t chase what is no longer for you.
This month will bring a powerhouse of planetary forces; retrogrades and a supermoon — this is a time of grand and rapid changes, so take a deep breath and ride the waves coming your way (don’t assume the worst or catastrophize). Take it step by step. These waves are leading you to where you need to be. The more you resist these changes, the harder they will feel; let go. Rather than look at what you’ve lost, consider what you’ve gained. It may not be easy but it will be rewarding. I believe in you, and in us all.
